10 TEN ten 10

The count down is on!

Only TEN DAYS until our competition ends - win yourself a double pass + sack of goon!

AND less then 4 weeks until the actual show, not to mention the hard decision of deciding which other shows to see.

Yikes! April and May and going to be full of sleepless (but exciting) nights!

Rogues, Rescuers and Back-alley Banshees!

You might have heard on the grapevine in Brisbane that us Alleyway kittens had a cheeky shoot for the show! Here are some behind the scenes snaps taken on our perfect day in Winn Lane!

I can also confirm that script writing has commenced (and from the synopsis' I've had the pleasure of spying we're in for a wild ride and a mixed bag of tenderness and.... well...trash, of course).

Also, check out our About us page (tamely named "The Alley Cats") to learn what our trass-fessionals are.

While our show is building you can still contribute your trash-fessional (even anonymously).

See you in the Val this weekend?

Trash-fessions: Your Trash, Our Treasure

The stain on your dress.
The crusty spot on  that certain stair case.
A collection of beer bottles stacked (where they shouldn't be!)

Our Alleyway Production playwrights may be writing (with all the gumption and grit of an end-alley dumpster) but there's one vital thing we're missing....

YOU.

Before we rip into writing with pen, paper, computer or ipad we’re collecting your Valley and Alleyway tales of terror and triumph to use as inspiration.

We want to hear it all - your animalistic nights in the Fortitude Jungle, tamer trips to hidden bars and your alleyway frolics in the unearthly hours of the moon.

Photo? Story? Sound bite? Video? Essay written in txt?

Purrrrfection!

Submit your Trash-fessions to Trash: Submissions post.

Your tales of sub/urban animals gone wild will go to build the grime and glory of the very first Alleyway Production!

PS: Here's one to get you in the mood....

 Trash-Fession from Little Miss XXX:
One weekend my friends had a party for no reason at all. Being poor students, three of us went along, guzzled our guts out and headed into the Valley to continue our night - aka find food and watch a great band play at the Zoo. Armed with our spare drinks (which we couldn't bare to part with) we loitered in the darkness of the alleyway on Ann st before the Zoo (the one before Winn St). We downed what we had, lined the bottles up on a cement retaining wall and ran around in the half light thinking we were diamond-armoured birds, never to be shot down while in flight!

Honestly, the rest of the night was a pleasant blur - moving from the gravelled up alleyway ditch we were in, to the Zoo, a mosh pit and (for me) the arms of someone I knew very very well (even though we acted like we had no identities...at all ;) ). A few hours into the morning, $40 spent on some greasy late night Asian food and we took a seat to consume....only to have the souls of my shoes consumed by the asian food my friend had eaten (that had just come right back up). I remember the smell, more then anything, and the sound of many apologies. But mostly, I remember a lot of laughter.
